  • ・ The First Prizewinner will be given at least 10 opportunities to perform in and outside of Japan, including solo recitals and performances with major orchestras, by the end of March 2020. The performer will be paid an appearance fee of ¥100,000 per performance and have related travel and accommodation expenses borne by the Organizer.
  • ・ The First Prizewinner will be given the Mayor of Sapporo Award with the opportunity to perform in Sapporo, based on the Hamamatsu-Sapporo “Musical and Cultural City Exchange Declaration”.
  • ・ Additional awards may be offered by private companies or individuals who support the objectives of the Competition

Special Prizes for Winners

Besides the aforementioned prizes, Winners of Hamamatsu 2018 will receive the following Special Prizes.

  • ・ The first prize winner will receive the “Mayor of Sapporo Award” with the opportunity to perform in Sapporo, based on the Hamamatsu-Sapporo “Musical and Cultural City Exchange Declaration”
  • ・ The first prize winner is invited to play symphony concert in Bydgoszcz and a recital in other city of Poland, organized by The Paderewski Music Association.
  • ・ The first prize winner is invited to play a recital at “Salle Cortot” in Paris, organized by Animato Association. Other laurates appointed by Marian Rybicki, the Artistic Director of Animato Association, may also receive invitations.
  • ・ The first prize winner is invited to play one or several recitals in Spain, organized by DavidsbuendlerDavidsbuendler Association
  • ・ The first prize winner is invited to play a recital at Shiiki presents Argerich’s Haus in Beppu, Japan, organized by Argerich Arts Foundation.
  • ・ The second prize winner will receive the “PINALE special award” the invitation to take part as an active student during PIANALE International Academy and Competition 2019 (course fee and accommodation fee will be paid by PIANALE).

PIANALE

  • ・ A Japanese competitor gaining the highest evaluation will receive the “Mayor of Warsaw Prize” with the opportunity to perform in Warsaw.
  • ・ The first prize winner will be given an opportunity to sign a management agreement for musical performance with Ikon Arts-Edition Peters in UK.
  • ・ The first prize winner will be given an opportunity to sign a CD recording agreement with BIS Records in Sweden

Prizewinner’s Tour

The first Prizewinner will be given at least 10 opportunities to perform in and outside of Japan by the end of March 2020.
