Registration starts![2003.11.7]
Actcity HamamatsuIt's such a beautiful day to welcome the contestants.
The town of Hamamatsu is now ready for the Piano Competition.






A.SEREDENKOThe first visitor at the secretariat was A.SEREDENKO from Canada.
"I arrived in Japan two days ago. I took a rest and now I'm in good condition.
After the registration, I'm going to take a walk and relax."
R. BLECHACZ (Poland) and Pui-Lam A. YU(Canada) followed him.
E.CHEREPANOV (Russia) and A.PIROJENKO (Russia) were the semifinalist of the
Last Competition. Two of them seemed to be relaxed very much.

E.CHEREPANOVE.CHEREPANOV who was sixteen-years old last time is now nineteen.
"Although I was with my teacher last time, I came alone this time.
I've grown up. This time I came here to play for the public."
It's interesting to see how he's changed after three years.

 


Selecting the pianos[2003.11.7]
Selecting the PianoAfter the registration, the contestants select their pianos to play for the First Stage. Only one piano shall be chosen among the four diferent pianos.
Once they sit down in front of the piano, they dramatically change themselves into the pianist.


TAMURA Hibiki & IFUKU KentaroTAMURA Hibiki(Japan) has just finished the trial and IFUKU Kentaro(Japan) are waiting for his turn. "I was so glad to see Kentaro because I've been nervous since my arrival in Hamamatsu."told TAMURA. "We have lots of friends participating this Competition. It's really nice." told IFUKU. After this, they are going out for dinner!
